    The IT7900EP series high-performance regenerative grid simulator provides users with a leading integrated testing solution. The entire series adopts silicon carbide (SiC) technology and can be used as a high-power AC power supply or a grid simulator. It also functions as a regenerative AC/DC electronic load. Operating in all four quadrants, its high-efficiency regenerative capability allows for clean energy return to the grid, meeting environmental needs while saving on electricity and cooling costs. Its compact, modular, and highly efficient design allows the IT7900EP to deliver 21kVA of power within a 3U form factor. Master-slave parallel connection can expand power to over 1MVA. Using a color touchscreen user interface, different waveforms can be defined directly. The rich operation modes meet the user's needs for single-phase, three-phase, and reverse-phase testing, providing high flexibility for testing and enabling wide application in photovoltaic, energy storage systems, and new energy vehicles.

    The IT7900EP series integrates three devices. Users can directly select on the instrument panel to use the IT7900EP as a grid simulator with all the functions of a programmable AC power supply, or as a regenerative AC/DC load.


     

    Four-Quadrant Output Characteristics

    The IT7900EP series is not only a full four-quadrant power grid simulator, but also a full four-quadrant AC/DC electronic load, capable of operating in all four quadrants. Its excellent bidirectional capability expands the simulation range beyond the two-quadrant limitation of traditional devices. Combined with its highly efficient energy feedback function, it is suitable for testing grid-connected products, such as frequency changes, voltage transients, and anti-islanding tests of grid-connected photovoltaic inverters.

     

     

    Highly efficient energy regeneration

    Whether used as a power grid simulator or a load, the IT7900EP offers highly efficient energy feedback in both AC and DC modes. The energy generated by the device under test during testing can be recovered by the IT7900EP and reused directly in the factory, rather than being consumed as heat, providing users with a "green and energy-saving" solution.

    Simulate mains power and Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT) testing

    Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT) refers to the ability of a power generation system to remain connected to the grid and continue operating, even providing reactive power to assist in voltage recovery, when grid faults or disturbances cause voltage dips within a certain range. The IT7900EP series allows editing of LVRT test conditions and, combined with its fast response speed, fully meets LVRT test requirements. Simultaneously, the IT7900EP series features an arbitrary waveform function. In conjunction with the LIST function, various grid disturbance waveforms can be simulated via the panel or the programmable software, such as instantaneous power outages, surges, and slow voltage rise and fall.
