    Power Supply/Load One-Button Switching
    The IT-M3600 cleverly combines both devices into a compact ½U size. It can operate as a high-performance bidirectional DC power supply or as a regenerative load, simulating various load characteristics and cleanly feeding energy back to the grid—all in one device. Users can switch operating modes with a single button, without needing software or any terminal device, saving time and significantly reducing space and cost.

     

     

    ½U Mini Size
    The IT-M3600 boasts a ½U mini size while delivering 800W of power output. It features high power density, high resolution, high accuracy, and high stability. The output voltage can reach 600V, and the output current can reach 30A. The full series includes 12 models, with a wide output range design, allowing one machine to cover a broad range of application needs.

     


    Seamless Power Supply/Load Switching
    Unlike traditional power supplies and loads, which experience brief jumps and discontinuities during positive and negative current switching, the IT-M3600 integrates bidirectional power supply and regenerative load functions. This allows for high-speed source and load current mode switching, enabling fast and continuous seamless switching between output and absorption current. This effectively prevents voltage or current overshoots and is widely applicable to testing energy storage devices such as batteries, battery packs, and battery protection boards.

     

     

    Battery simulation function
    The IT-M3600 can simulate up to 99 series-parallel connected batteries. Users can quickly define battery models by setting the battery voltage, capacity, internal resistance, and SOC via the power supply's front panel.
    Using ITECH's professional BSS2000 battery simulation software (optional), users can quickly establish battery characteristic curves by setting common battery parameters or setting the initial capacity of the battery to verify the product's characteristics under different battery states. The BSS2000 also allows users to import MATLAB battery models or import actual battery charge and discharge curves via CSV files for a more realistic representation of battery charge and discharge characteristics.

    Battery testing function
    Due to its unique integrated source-load design and variable output impedance, the IT-M3600 can simulate battery charging and discharging characteristics for various tests. It can handle tests on multiple individual cells as well as comprehensive tests on battery packs. It also allows for setting various test conditions and processing data to generate test curves.

     

     

    Multi-channel independent control, up to 256 channels
    The IT-M3600 features a flexible multi-channel design architecture. Users can combine multiple IT-M3600 units to form a multi-channel source-load system, with each instrument's interface displaying its channel number. By connecting the communication interface of one power supply to a PC, each power supply in the system can be controlled independently in the host software, and each channel can be operated completely independently.
    The IT-M3600 can have up to 16*16 channels. 64 channels can be configured in a single 37U rack. Parallel functionality supports testing of various power levels of devices under test, increasing user flexibility and significantly improving equipment utilization.

     


    Multiple protection functions
    The IT-M3600 has overcurrent/undercurrent/overvoltage/overheat/overpower/undervoltage protection, power grid fault protection, and fault storage functions, as well as power-off protection and sense detection anomaly protection. The unique Foldback protection function shuts off the output during the CV/CC switching of the power supply to protect devices under test sensitive to voltage or current overshoots. The automatic power grid status detection function shuts down the product when the power grid connection is suddenly interrupted, enabling reliable grid connection and island protection. The pre-charge function prevents DC load current overshoot. Users can purchase a reverse-connection protection module to enable reverse-connection protection, effectively suppressing battery surges.

     


    Multiple operation modes
    In source-load mode, the IT-M3600 has basic CC/CV/CP/CR operation modes.
    In load mode, the IT-M3600 also has 4 compound operation modes: CC+CR, CV+CR, CV+CC, and CC+CV+CP+CR, adaptable to various test requirements.

     


    CC&CV priority function
    The IT-M3600 continues ITECH's CC/CV priority concept, helping users solve various demanding problems in long-term testing, making high-speed or overshoot-free power supply applications more flexible. For test scenarios requiring high-speed voltage, users can choose CV priority mode for faster voltage ramp-up speed; or they can choose CC priority mode for overshoot-free output current to test devices under test with constant current operating characteristics. This is suitable for various test applications such as laser, integrated circuit, charge/discharge, and automotive electronics power transient simulation and characterization.

     


    Parallel function
    The IT-M3600 supports parallel connection of multiple units of the same model to create a system with higher current and power. Users can use a master-slave operation method according to different current requirements, with up to 16 instruments paralleled. After parallel operation of multiple units, the IT-M3600 still retains high-speed measurement capability similar to that of a single unit.
