A new gear tooth surface hardness tester has been developed to meet the needs of workshop sites. This instrument eliminates the need for complex tooth sampling procedures. Simply clamp the instrument onto the gear; operation is simple. Clamping a specific number of teeth, several movements of the force handle are all that is needed to quickly complete the test. The test takes less than a minute, significantly improving production efficiency. The test force is small, and the indentation is minimal, resulting in virtually no damage to the gear after testing. The indentation can be removed after fine grinding, enabling non-destructive testing. The instrument uses the Rockwell hardness testing principle, directly displaying the HRC hardness value. Test results are accurate and repeatable, with errors controlled within 2.0 HRC. The introduction of this instrument provides great convenience for the rapid detection of gear quality on workshop sites, ensuring quality control and product quality during production.
