         IT2800 High-Precision Source Measure Unit (SMU)

     

    The IT2800 series is a compact and cost-effective desktop source meter (SMU) that can simultaneously output and measure voltage and current. These capabilities make the IT2800 series ideal for various tasks requiring high-resolution and high-precision IV (current vs. voltage) measurements.
     
    The IT2800 series SMU integrates the functions of a voltage source, current source, voltmeter, ammeter, and ohmmeter, allowing easy switching between these different functions. This enables independent measurement of device IV characteristics in all four quadrants without the need for any additional equipment. In addition to highly accurate voltage and current output and measurement, the IT2800 series SMU can also limit voltage or current output to prevent device damage, providing extensive IV measurement capabilities for various two-terminal or three-terminal devices.
     
    The IT2800 series SMU covers a current range of 10fA to 10A and a voltage range of 100nV to 1000V. In addition to DC operation, the IT2800 series SMU also allows pulse measurements to prevent measurement errors caused by self-heating of the device. Furthermore, the IT2800 series SMU is equipped with a high-speed and reliable fiber optic communication method, allowing stable and reliable collaborative work between multiple SMUs, facilitating large data exchanges and fulfilling various testing needs.
     
    The 5-inch touch screen provides an excellent graphical user interface and various display modes, helping engineers significantly improve testing efficiency.
     
    Thanks to the excellent voltage and current output and measurement accuracy and rich testing functions of the IT2800, the IT2800 series SMU is suitable for various testing applications: discrete semiconductor devices, passive components, transient voltage suppressor (TVS) devices, laser diodes, TVS, varistors, etc.

    Standard Scan and List Scan Functions
    The IT2800 series SMU has standard and list (LIST) scan functions. In the standard SWEEP mode, linear and logarithmic modes, single and double scans, and constant and pulse scans are supported. The list (LIST) scan function can effectively perform arbitrary waveform output, which is very useful in characterizing tests where the response changes with the applied voltage or current. Users can import using Excel or edit on the panel to generate an arbitrary shaped scan curve, with up to 99999 data points importable. It is an ideal choice for U-I and I-U characteristic testing.
